Welcome to the Hotel Virginia

I finally found some old photos and other things to scan at Mom's on Thursday. This is the guest receipt for my grandparent's honeymoon back in 1921. The stayed one night in Cape May, NJ and it cost all of $7.00! I asked mom is I could have this and she said I could only scan it. Wouldn't it look neat framed with my Cape May piece?

What a piece of family history for you. When my Uncle's (by marriage) Uncle died in '97, I helped clear out his house and he never chucked out anything. WWI & II uniforms and uniforms from before the wars, his Mother's handbag with everything she carried, it still had the war coupons, old money dating back to the 20's. We had the contents valued and if we'd wanted to sell them at auction, we would have made around £500.

    Thanks for your comments ladies.
That is so neat to have family heirlooms, Heather. I don't know if I could part with some of the things you mentioned.
Lee, I would love to have a shrimp salad sandwich at the Ugly Mug!
I also have some of the Cape May house charts-The Pink Lady being one of them. : )
