I was raised in Penna and still live about 1/2 hour from where I was born. I have always loved children and wanted to be a teacher or a children's book author/illustrator. Maybe the later now. I'm also thinking about cross stitch design. I love photography and photo editing-esp lots of nature shots. This blog banner and profile photo were designed by me using PSP7.
You are correct! I guess I could grow these again in water for a new plant in the spring. (You know, suspend them in water with toothpicks). I had bought 3 of these plates (all they had left)at Tuesday Morning to send to a Katrina victim. This one had a chip in it, so I didn't send it. So if you have a Tuesday morning near you, they may have these! ; )
Unfortunately no Tuesday morning here. You can save those tubers and plant them next year. I leave mine right in the pot of soil (just cut off all the foliage) and store them in my crawl space. They do take forever to come up though, so it would be better to start them inside in late April. I have also only had marginal success--some don't come back at all.

Looks like sweet potato vine to me.
I love that plate with the butterflies! Do you have an entire set of those?
