Blooming

I guess this is a Thanksgiving cactus rather than a Christmas one. This was
hanging outside all summer.
I just bought this red amaryllis at Big Lots for $3.99. I am sad the one growth area has decay, but that may not be the main stem either. The circular part is the peat pellet. Looks like it will need more than that-look at those roots!
And Happy Birthdays to my 'A' pals Angela and Abby!

Nice Christmas Cactus! Mine are all budded up and about ready to go now - but I didn't have them outside this summer, so they are not ahead of the game like yours is :-) I have had terrible luck with amaryllis - can never seem to get them to come back the next year!

That's one thing I've never had, a Christmas Cactus! They are so beautiful too!!! The poinsettia plants are all in the stores now so I'll probably buy a couple of them...love the pink ones but usually can only find the red ones over here.

your cactus is lovely. I've never had one but my mom had a beauty in Australia.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your nice comments. And thanks for coming up with the name for those 'non-whistles'! :) We had a great time with the boys.

I've been looking all over the garden center for one of these cactuses, and couldn't find any! I suppose the Dutch have decided it's out of fashion or something. While I really, really like it. Yours is a beauty.
How's the cleaning up going? And are your sinuses any better?
