I was raised in Penna and still live about 1/2 hour from where I was born. I have always loved children and wanted to be a teacher or a children's book author/illustrator. Maybe the later now. I'm also thinking about cross stitch design. I love photography and photo editing-esp lots of nature shots. This blog banner and profile photo were designed by me using PSP7.

These are from the group of shots that I took the other day. This is of a Admiral Butterfly on the butterfly bush. I was really chasing him around on that bush!
Rose of Sharon. I have several of these along the bank in the back yard. They are a member of the hibiscus family-all the more reason to like them!
A bunch of acorns-not as nice as Sandy's (see sidebar), but she inspired me to take a shot of them.

So that's what a Rose of Sharon looks like! I've always loved the name (one of my step sisters is named Sharon). Your butterfly photo is also well worth the running around! :)

Ah, a beautiful red admiral.
I've been looking for one for the past month, but so far I have not found one. Time is running out for me to get a picture
