I was raised in Penna and still live about 1/2 hour from where I was born. I have always loved children and wanted to be a teacher or a children's book author/illustrator. Maybe the later now. I'm also thinking about cross stitch design. I love photography and photo editing-esp lots of nature shots. This blog banner and profile photo were designed by me using PSP7.

May Bloomers
Peachy azaleas that look like bridal bonquets hanging from the shrub. I have another one like this that didn't bloom. I think I need to move it. The rhododendrons surprised me today! I didn't expect them to be in full bloom. See the bee on the pale pink bloom?
I love your azaleas! I try so hard, but can never get mine to 1) bloom or 2) even survive. My neighbors all have gorgeous ones! I do think it is the fact that our lot, unlike the rest of our neighbors, is laded with trees, many of which are pine. The rest had the trees in front of their homes removed when the houses were built. We like a bit more privacy and left ours standing.... but that it not good at all for azaleas. I think rhododendrons would grow OK, but I don't like how they get really huge and leggy...
