I was raised in Penna and still live about 1/2 hour from where I was born. I have always loved children and wanted to be a teacher or a children's book author/illustrator. Maybe the later now. I'm also thinking about cross stitch design. I love photography and photo editing-esp lots of nature shots. This blog banner and profile photo were designed by me using PSP7.

Road to mom's was flooded
This is along Route 1 on the 28th. To the left (you can't see it) is the Brandywine River Museum and to the right is Hank's Place, a little diner that the cast of 'The Village' frequented when they were filming the movie a few miles away from here. This is the road that I take to mom's and Sean also takes to college. To think I actually planned to go there that day-what was I thinking?
These rains are a real pest, aren't they? I read about the flooding in all the blogs of my stitching friends, but I never realized how bad it was until Dutch tv started reporting about the flooding. I hope everything will turn back to normal soon!
Wow, it certainly IS a good thing you didn't decide to drive that way! Heavy rains and flooding can cause so much damage and it's a shame at all that is ruined.

So glad you decided against visiting your Mom that day! It's really dreadful what this rain and flooding are doing to so many folks in the East!
